About me

 

Not too much personal info here, after all I don’t want to make it easy for anyone to steal my identity. Born in beautiful York, PA and a graduate of Old York High and later Juniata College, I have never been one to be a socializer. It has always been easier for me to write than to talk.

I enjoy three things, baseball, beer and visiting the great places that make up the US. While growing up near Gettysburg I have always had a fascination with that battle. That has expanded over the years as I read about the Civil War, which has prompted me to get out and to visit many of the great battlefields of that war.

I am a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. I love baseball and played (not very well) in high school. You are reading the blog of a career .100 varsity hitter. I did not get my only career hit until my final game on a bloop single to right field. I got it though. I enjoy watching high school and college basketball, hockey and rugby. While supporting the Steelers, I find I have less interest in football as I get older.

There will be no modern politics on this blog. I’m not discussing it here, that is what Facebook is for. I am using this as an opportunity to learn WordPress development. So with that said, I apologize in advance if something looks odd or doesn’t fit right. I’m trying to learn and sometimes the best way to do it is to break things.
