[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]I only attended one game here. The Pirates had just finished up in Philly and had a makeup game against the Mets to play, so I went up for the Monday matinee. Citi Field was nearly finished. A massive thunderstorm went through just before gametime so there was about a 90 minute delay. I was already leaving early since I did not want to get caught in rush hour traffic so I only saw about 5 innings. The radio in my car did not work so it was a bit of a shock when I got home and saw that the Pirates had won. This was also the only time I ever saw Pedro Martinez pitch.[/vc_column_text][vc_media_grid element_width=”3″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1514556775026-74d3011e-3c26-4″ include=”4677,4678″][vc_column_text]
How did I get there?
Shore Parkway to the Grand Central. Parked in a stadium lot, not sure if there was anything else available besides the trains.
Ticket prices
Don’t remember. I walked up and sat in the Loge seating behind home plate. I’m guessing it was about $20.
Finding my seat and amenities
Not hard to find my seat. Didn’t buy anything other than a program. From my seat I couldn’t see the jumbotron very well.
In game experience
I’ll mark this as incomplete since I only stuck around for 5.
Getting out
This was an adventure. I missed the turn onto the Grand Central and drove down Northern Blvd stopping at every other light. Stayed on that until I came to the BQE and took that to the bridges. When I drove up to Citi Field I made sure to look and sure enough there was a sign to the Grand Central but it was somewhat hidden. I feel better now.
Wrap
This was not a great place for me but I am sure many others have had fond experiences here. It is much cheaper for me to see the Mets at either Nationals Park or Citizens Bank Park and other than crossing this park off the list I would have a hard time wanting to go back here.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Back to the National League” style=”3d” color=”orange” align=”left” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Ftheworldneedsmorekevin.com%2Fbaseball%2Fnational-league%2F|||”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
